No More Goodbyes: Circling the Wagons Around Our Gay Loved Ones, a captivating book by Carol Lynn Pearson, deals with enlightening and inspirational stories of gays and lesbians coping with issues of family, religion, church and occasionally suicide. Twenty years ago Pearson told her story of being married to a gay man in her bestselling book, Goodbye, I Love You. Since then she has become an energetic advocate working with parents, families and church leaders to apply the religion of love to all of God's children.

In addition, in her new play, Facing East, Pearson explores how an upstanding Mormon couple copes with the suicide of their gay son. This couple is stuck between the comfort of their faith and the unfamiliarity of their new reality when they meet their son's partner, Marcus, for the first time. The play has enjoyed early success and is scheduled for a four-week off-Broadway run in New York in May and June, and a San Francisco run in August.
